Video Released From Fatal Sacramento Shooting

SACRAMENTO (CBS 13) - Sacramento police released surveillance video today that the department hopes could help lead to the arrest of a murder suspect.

The video shows Thong Khousakoune putting gas into his red Honda CRV at a Shell station near 12th Avenue and Franklin Road shortly before 11 p.m. on July 22 before getting in his car and turning east on 12th.

Shortly thereafter, a white SUV, possibly a Mitsubishi Montero, can been seen driving in the same direction as the victim.

Police now believe the driver could be a witness to Khousakoune's deadly shooting. He was shot after leaving the gas station and his car crashed through two fences and into a house a block from the gas station.

Investigators believe the victim, who is from Fresno, was in town visiting friends before getting gas for the trip back home.

Police are asking anyone with information on the white SUV to call Sacramento Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or submit the tip online at www.crimealert.org.
