Repairman Allegedly Assaults And Leaves Victim With Life-Threatening Injuries
ARDEN-ARCADE (CBS13) - One individual has been transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries after a repairman assaulted him with an unknown object, according to a Sacramento Sheriff's spokesperson.
The victim, in his 60's, and suspect, a 38-year-old man, got into an altercation inside of a residence on the 3800 block of Sandra Court. The suspect, a repairman, was called out to the location for work, according to the Sacramento Sheriff's Office.
According to officers, at some point, an altercation ensued and after the fight, the repairman drove back to work and told a coworker that he had just killed someone. The coworker called the Sheriff's Office to report the allegation and when officers showed up to the victim's house to perform a welfare check, they discovered the victim inside with visible injuries that were previously thought to be from a gunshot.
The victim is currently in critical condition at a nearby hospital. The suspect left his workplace and was arrested near Cal Expo.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the suspect or victim.
