Van Crashes Into Citrus Heights Home
CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) – The search is on for a van and its driver that crashed into a Citrus Heights home Tuesday night and then drove off.
The van smashed into a home on Sandalwood Drive sometime after 10:00 p.m. It hit the home so hard, the van ended up ten feet into the home. The driver then immediately put the van in reverse and left.
The homeowner's grandson was inside the home at the time, but was not hurt. He was able to run out to the front of the home just in time to see a silver van driving off.
"I got out there as fast as I could but I had to hop over debris," said Andrew Wireman. "It was kind of nuts."
Police say the van obviously has front-end damage. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call police.
