Valley Temperatures Dropping Into Double Digits Friday
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - The Sacramento Valley is looking at another day of triple-digit temperatures before things begin to cool off.
Residents in the Roseville, Rocklin and Lincoln areas awoke today to the smell of smoke and haze in the air caused by the Robber Fire near Foresthill.
At around noon, the wind will shift to the west, blowing smoke back up to Grass Valley and Nevada City.
Firefighters say the fire didn't grow overnight like it did on Wednesday thanks to calm winds.
At around 6 a.m. Thursday, temperatures in Sacramento were five degrees higher they were at the same time on Wednesday.
Air quality in the valley will be unhealthy for sensitive groups.
Cooler weather is on the way. A trough of low pressure is will arrive tomorrow, dropping temperatures down almost 10 degrees. The high Friday is forecasted to 97, and 92 on Saturday.
