Vacant Stockton Restaurant Building Destroyed By Fire

STOCKTON (CBS13) — A vacant commercial building caught on fire Monday night and will be a total loss, according to the Stockton Fire Department.

Firefighters received the call at 5:58 p.m. and upon arriving on the scene at 1604 Waterloo at D Street, they deemed the building unsafe to enter and fought the blaze from the outside.

The building was formerly Nena's Mexican Restaurant but has been vacant for some time. Seven engines were at the two-alarm blaze, according to Stockton Fire Chief Operator Matt Harris.

The cause hasn't been determined yet.
