UPS Employee Struck, Killed By UPS Big Rig In West Sacramento
WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A UPS employee suffered fatal injuries after being run over by a company big rig in West Sacramento.
The incident happened at 9:15 p.m. at the company's facility on Harbor Avenue and Del Monte Street. The injured employee was taken to UC Davis Medical Center, according to Sgt. Roger Kinney, a spokesperson for the West Sacramento Police Department.
The employee, who has not been identified, was later pronounced dead, police say.
Crime scene and traffic investigators have been called out to the scene. Company representatives and the driver were said to be cooperating with the investigation.
Cal/OSHA has also been notified.
