No Signs Of Foul Play In UC Davis Dorm Death
DAVIS, Calif. (CBS13) -- The Yolo County Coroner says there are no signs of foul play in the death of a UC Davis student who was found dead inside his dorm room after police conducted a welfare check Tuesday afternoon.
College spokesman Andy Fell said the third-year student was found inside his dorm room at Castilian Hall, part of the off-campus Cuarto dormitories on Wake Forest Drive near 8th Street, after UC Davis police made entry at about 3:30 p.m.
The victim, 22-year-old Alexander Goldschneider, shared the dorm with other students but had his own bedroom.
Police responded to the dorm after the student's parents reported they hadn't heard from him for four days. Goldschneider was a transfer student from Auburn.
Police are not investigating the death. It will take several weeks for toxicology tests to be completed.
