Two Suspects Arrested In Sacramento Arson, Homicide
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Sacramento Sheriff's Homicide detectives have arrested two suspects in connection with a man found dead inside a burned apartment.
With a black eye and now facing a murder charge, Stacey Perryman, 43, and Bryan Denton, 39, are accused of killing 60-year-old Stephen Sieck.
From the beginning, investigators knew the man wasn't killed by the fire that brought them to the Selby Ranch Road apartment last Sunday.
"He sustained injuries that were really in no way self-inflicted," said Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputy Jason Ramos.
The details of how Sieck was killed are still unknown, but detectives have two good leads.
Witnesses saw a U-Haul loading stuff from Sieck's truck in Kern County.
The suspects weren't far from there. They were tracked down to a hotel and were cuffed in Bakersfield.
"It makes me a little unnerved," a neighbor said.
Neighbors at the complex are now feeling relief, but detectives aren't quite there yet.
They're trying to track down the woman seen on surveillance with one of the suspects at the Shell Station on Elk Grove Boulevard.
She may hold more clues in this homicide case.
