Two Killed, Three Hurt In Oakland Shootings

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Two men are dead and three men hospitalized in separate shootings that took place just five hours apart in Oakland late Saturday and early Sunday.

Police told the Oakland Tribune that an 18-year-old Hayward man was shot and killed and a 24-year-old Hayward man wounded in a shooting around 10:45 p.m. Saturday.

In a second shooting around 2:12 a.m. Sunday, two men were wounded in shooting behind a residential complex. Police released few details about that shooting, but say one of the victims, a 44-year-old Oakland man, was on life support in a hospital.

In the third shooting, a 20-year-old Oakland man was found shot to death inside a car around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police say none of the shootings are related.
