Two Hurt In Oak Park Shooting

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- A suspected drug deal left two men wounded after gunfire erupted in an Oak Park neighborhood early Sunday morning.

The Sacramento Police Department said officers found a man wounded in the leg inside a motor home parked near the corner of 35th Street and 4th Avenue after reports of shooting just after 9:00 a.m.

A second victim transported himself to a nearby hospital for treatment for gunshot wounds. Both victims are expected to survive, police said.

"There was some sort of altercation inside possibly related to the theft of marijuana," said Sgt. Michael Lange.

Police are searching for two more subjects, who may have driven off in a white Lexus. Investigators haven't said whether the wounded men are suspects or victims.

Neighbors said they were rattled by the broad daylight violence, and said they are thankful no bystanders were hurt.

"There's a coffee shop down the street, there's people going to church, so yeah, it's pretty scary," said Sgt. Lange.
