Two Found Dead After Oakland Apartment Fire
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Oakland homicide detectives and fire officials are investigating after two people were found dead in an apartment fire early Sunday.
The Oakland Tribune reports the bodies of a man and a woman were found after firefighters responded to the blaze a little after 1 a.m.
Both victims were badly burned, but police say one of the victims appeared to have suffered trauma not associated with burns.
Witnesses also gave different accounts of what happened before the fire started.
Authorities were trying to identify the two victims Sunday.
