Two Bodies Including A Child Found Inside A Car In Lathrop
LATHROP (CBS13) – San Joaquin Sheriff's deputies say the bodies of two people including that of a child were found inside a car parked on a remote road this morning in Lathrop.
A security guard on patrol found the bodies in a car at Paradise and Delta roads around 8:00 this morning. When the guard went to tell what he thought was a sleeping driver to move on, he realized the man was dead.
"The seat was tilted back like he was asleep," said John Hulsey who discovered the car. "He had a blanket over his lap. The gun was lying on top of the blanket."
Deputies later discovered the body of a child under ten in the back seat. Both the man and the child had been shot.
Detectives are investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide.
