Two Arrested In Auburn Bank Robbery
PLACER COUNTY, Calif. (CBS13) – An observant witness helped Placer County deputies nab a pair of suspects in an Auburn bank robbery.
Deputies arrested Cynthia Lynn Van Holland and Christopher Scott Alonzo just minutes after a Bank of the West on Lincoln Way in Auburn was robbed on Monday afternoon.
Witnesses say a woman walked into the bank just before 2:30 pm and handed a note to a teller saying she was armed and demanded money. After getting some cash, the female suspect left and got into a car driven by a man.
An observant witness gave deputies a description of the car and a partial license plate. Deputies spotted the car a few minutes later near on Interstate 80 near Rocklin Road. Van Holland and Alonzo were arrested and booked into the Placer County jail on bank robbery charges.
