Two Arrested For Deadly Stockton Graduation Shooting

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities say two suspects are in custody in the fatal shooting of two people at a June graduation party in Stockton.

San Joaquin County Sheriff's spokesman Les Garcia says 19-year-old Assadullah Karimi and 20-year-old Carlos Delatorre have been booked on suspicion of murder.

Sixteen-year-old Fernando Aguilar and 18-year-old Edgar Flores Alcauter were gunned down at a graduation house party in east Stockton in the early morning hours of June 5.

The Record of Stockton reports that Karimi was arrested Friday during a traffic stop and Delatorre turned himself in on Monday.

Both suspects are being held without bail and scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

Authorities have released scant information about the shootings and have not discussed any possible motives.
