Two-Alarm Fire Burning At Abandoned Car Dealership In Vallejo

VALLEJO (CBS13) – A two-alarm fire is burning at an abandoned car dealership in Vallejo that dozens of homeless have been using as a place to stay.

The fire is burning the former Bill Lang Pontiac-Cadillac Dealership at 4301 Sonoma Boulevard.

Fire officials say about 45 homeless people have been living at the building since it was abandoned two years ago.

Fire fighters are battling the blaze from outside over fears the roof may collapse.

They say the fire is particularly dangerous because the building interior supports have been taken down by the homeless and because there are a number of chemicals inside.

All of the people who had been living inside have gotten out without injury.
