TSA Officer Arrested For Airport Theft
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A Los Angeles International Airport security officer is suspected of stealing items from a traveler's suitcase.
Airport police Sgt. Belinda Nettles says 31-year-old Transportation Security Administration officer Ryan Driscoll was arrested May 10 at Terminal 6 for investigation of felony grand theft.
Driscoll is free on $20,000 bail pending a June 3 court appearance.
The Torrance Daily Breeze says officials haven't disclosed what was stolen.
Driscoll was hired in 2002 by the TSA, which has a zero-tolerance policy for theft in the workplace.
