Three People Injured After Car Catches Fire In Folsom
FOLSOM (CBS13) -- Three people suffered burns after a car caught fire and exploded in Folsom.
The fire happened in the 9 p.m. hour at Briarcliff and Montrose Drives in Folsom near Bidwell Street.
One person, an adult, suffered serious burns while a second adult and a six-year-old suffered moderate to severe burns.
Folsom Police Department spokesman Jason Browning says it's believed the two men were attempting to remove the gas tank from an older Dodge Ram SUV when it caught fire and exploded.
A wooden fence and nearby tree were also damaged in the fire.
Fire fighters were able to douse the flames before it spread to nearby homes.
