If this is true, this is a massive blow to UFC 200 which is scheduled on July 9th, and is one of the most anticipated events in UFC history. McGregor's opponent, Nate Diaz tweeted this shortly after McGregor.

Diaz and McGregor are scheduled to headline UFC 200 in an epic rematch. In their first bout Diaz walked away with a second-round submission.

There are plenty of guesses as to why McGregor posted about retirement, but until the UFC releases an official statement, we can only speculate.
