Tony Romo Favored To Win At Tahoe Celebrity Golf

STATELINE, Nev. (AP) — Tony Romo has been made the favorite to win the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship at Lake Tahoe this summer.

The Dallas Cowboys' star quarterback has finished second each of the last three years.

Harrah's Tahoe Sportsbook posted the opening line at Stateline Tuesday making him the 5-2 favorite for the 23rd annual tourney at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course July 20-22.

Eight-time tournament winner Rick Rhoden is the second pick at odds of 4-1, followed by three-time champ Billy Joe Tolliver at 9-2. Former Cy Young Award Winner John Smoltz is next at 5-1 and two-time tourney winner Dan Quinn, 7-1. Defending champ Jack Wagner and Jeremy Roenick both are 8-1 and John Elway 12-1.

The longest shots at 500-1 are Charles Barkley, Kevin Nealon and Dennis Haysbert.
