Three Suspects Sought After Armed Home Invasion
WEITCHPEC, Calif. (CBS13) -- Humboldt County investigators are searching for three suspects after a home invasion robbery during which multiple shots were fired.
The Humboldt County Sheriff's Department said three people knocked on the door of a home on Lake Prairie Road at about 8:30 p.m. and were let in by the homeowner, who recognized them.
The suspects brandished guns after entering the home and searched the structure while holding the two residents, a husband and wife, at gunpoint. The men fired several shots during the robbery, striking the walls and windows but causing no injuries.
The suspects fled after stealing five firearms.
Deputies identified the suspects as 29-year-old Jackson Surber, an Indian male about 185 pounds and 5'5" tall; 29-year-old Sonia Hunsucker, an Indian female about 160 pounds and 5'3" tall; and 17-year-old Lorence Bailey, an Indian male juvenile.
The suspects drove away in a dark color sedan with front end damage, no windshield and only one headlamp.
