Three Suspects Arrested In Rocklin Copper Wire Thefts
ROCKLIN (CBS13) -- Three Roseville men suspected of stealing copper wire from streetlights in Rocklin were arrested on Sunday.
Darrell Allen Cooper, 41, Timothy Scott Baker, 29, and Justin Bryan Liddell, 32, were arrested by Placer County Sheriff's deputies on weapons, drug and warrant charges in Penryn on Sunday.
The deputies noticed a large amount of copper wire in the back of the suspects' pickup and contacted Rocklin police.
City staff confirmed the copper wire is the same type stolen from about 20 light poles between Sept. 1 and Sept. 13.
The cost to repair the damage is estimated at $40,000.
