Third Rape Reported At SoCal University
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (AP) -- Another rape of an unconscious, intoxicated woman has been reported at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Campus police say Sunday's rape is the third reported in nine days at California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
The San Luis Obispo County Tribune says the rape took place at a Poly Canyon Village dormitory, the same dorm area where a woman was raped May 12. The first sex attack was May 7 at an off-campus fraternity house.
All the rapes involved unconscious, intoxicated women. University police Chief Bill Watton won't say if the women were drugged.
Watton says the incidents aren't related. He says a suspect has been identified in one of the rapes but he is not in custody because the investigation is continuing.
