Third Casino Shooting Suspect Returned To Reno

RENO, Nev. (AP) — A third suspect from California arrested in the killing of a high-ranking Hells Angel during a gang shootout at a Nevada casino has been returned to Reno to face criminal charges and if convicted, could end up spending his life in prison.

Police say Gary Rudnick was the vice president of the Los Angeles chapter of the rival Vagos motorcycle gang who instigated the fight at a Sparks casino where Jeffrey "Jethro" Pettigrew was killed on Sept. 23.

Another Vagos member jailed in Reno is accused of firing the shots that killed the late president of the Hells Angels' San Jose chapter.

Rudnick, nicknamed "Jabbers," is scheduled to be arraigned Friday 9 a.m. in Washoe District Court on charges including challenge of a fight with a deadly weapon causing death.
