Thieves Use Backhoe In Attempted Bank Heist
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Sacramento Police are investigating an attempted bank heist where the thieves used a backhoe to try and rip out an automatic teller machine.
Police were first called to the Chase Bank at Arden Way and Exposition Boulevard around 5:30 a.m.
They arrived to find an abandoned backhoe still in front of the bank and a heavily damaged ATM machine.
Despite the heavy equipment, the thieves could not remove the money machine.
