Additional Suspects Sought In Rancho Cordova After Crashing Stolen SUV
RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) - Several suspects were pursued by deputies after they stole a portable video game system off a table at a McDonald's in Rancho Cordova and fled in a stolen vehicle Tuesday afternoon, a sheriff's official said.
Sacramento County sheriff's deputies and Rancho Cordova police pursued the suspects and they attempted to run after crashing a Jeep SUV into a parked vehicle at an apartment complex at 10685 Coloma Road, Sgt. Jason Ramos said.
One suspect was taken into custody at the apartment complex, but at least two others were being sought and the complex was completed blocked off by crime tape.
One of the suspects dropped a gun while running and it was recovered, Ramos said.
Detectives were investigating whether the stolen vehicle is the same one that was carjacked from a Rancho Cordova PetsMart on Monday night.
