The Grant Napear Show - September 4, 2012
It's finally September. It's finally week one of the NFL season. Grant made sure to cover anything and everything football. Grant spoke on the Alabama/Michigan game and the Big Ten not being able to keep up with the SEC. Grant also spoke on the Giants/Cowboys NFL season opener on Wednesday, covered the local teams—Raiders and 49ers—and touched on recent NFL injuries.
San Francisco Giants Insider Andrew Baggarly of Comcast SportsNet Bay Area joined Grant today.
Baggarly spoke on the Giants' success after the loss of Melky Cabrera, the starting pitching rotation, the team's sharp focus on what their ballclub is doing, possible concerns during the final stretch of the season, the atmosphere in the dugout and the team's handling of Buster Posey.
Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen was on the show with Grant today. Allen is expected to join Grant every week of the season to talk about the Raiders.
Today, Allen talked about training camp, leading the team alongside new general manager Reggie McKenzie, the progress of linebacker Miles Burris, opening up the season with a Monday Night Football game, getting his coaching staff on the same page and the status of injured players entering the season.
