The Grant Napear Show - September 21, 2012
Today on the Grant Napear Show the main topic was week 3 of the NFL. Grant talked about Melky Cabrera taking himself out of the NL Batting Title race, as well as Alex Smith's San Francisco Giants hat. He also discussed The Oakland Raiders' game against the Steelers and the 49ers' game against the Minnesota Vikings, and the Notre Dame versus Michigan game. Grant gave his NFL picks, gave his thoughts on fantasy lineups, and took calls about Melky Cabrera, the Raiders, 49ers and Kings. Grant interviewed Paul Allen, Lincoln Kennedy and Kenny Albert.
Paul Allen, the voice of the Minnesota Vikings joined Grant today to talk about the Vikings' game against the 49ers. Paul discussed how the Vikings will have to attack the 49ers' defense, and what the defense will have to do to slow down the efficient 49ers' offense. Paul and Grant also talked about Christian Ponder's development throughout the past couple of years.
Lincoln Kennedy from Fox Sports radio joined Grant to discuss the Oakland Raiders and week 3 of the NFL. Lincoln discussed the Raiders' zone blocking scheme and why it hasn't worked. He also talked about Cam Newton, the Chargers not selling out against Atlanta, and the issues the 49ers might run in to. Finally, he talked about the Arizona Cardinals, the Houston Texans, the Los Angeles Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder.
Kenny Albert from Fox Sports was on with Grant today to talk about week 3 of the NFL season. Kenny talked about the 49ers' picking up where they left off, as well as Randy Moss's return to Minnesota. He also discussed how Christian Ponder will need to step up if Adrian Peterson can't run on the 49ers' defense. Kenny and Grant talked about the NFL's replacement referees and Alex Smith's improvement. Finally, Kenny talked about the NHL lockout and the New York Rangers.
