The Grant Napear Show - September 10, 2014
Today's installment of the Grant Napear Show opened with discussion of the weekend's upcoming matchup between the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers, Grant labeling Sunday night's affair a must-win for Chicago after their ugly week one loss to the Bills.
Grant briefly mentioned the reports coming out of the Associated Press that contradict NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's recent statements regarding the Ray Rice incident, law enforcement and media whistleblowers claiming that NFL executives had received the entire video TMZ released to the public this week, Goodell claiming the opposite.
The Ray McDonald situation in San Francisco was another topic discussed on today's show, Grant reiterating his belief that the 49ers have legitimate reason to believe he is not guilty of the domestic violence charges for which he was arrested, evidenced by the fact that he played for the 49ers this past weekend and will likely start against Chicago this Sunday.
To kick off the 4 o'cock hour, Grant had Sacramento Republic FC owner Kevin Nagle on the show to talk about the upcoming visit Major League Soccer has scheduled to assess Sacramento has a potential location for an MLS team.
Before an early conclusion to today's show prior to Oakland A's baseball, Grant discussed the A's recent fallout and what missing the playoffs would mean for the club after their blockbuster midseason trades.
