The Grant Napear Show - October 9, 2012
Grant interviewed several Sacramento Kings players earlier in the day so he kicked off the show by sharing the players' perspectives on the upcoming season. Grant also shared several players' thoughts on needing to improve on the defensive end and who performed the best in training camp. Grant then covered several stories around the NFL and shared audio from his interview with Kings head coach Keith Smart.
Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports is attending the Oakland A's game tonight, but first he came on the show to talk some basketball.
Spears gave his initial take on the Golden State Warriors after seeing them in the preseason. Spears talked about how impressed he was with Festus Ezeli and Harrison Barnes, what he sees out of Andrew Bogut and Stephen Curry, the growth that the Kings can take on the defensive end and the focus DeMarcus Cousins needs in order to transcend to elite status.
NFL and college football analyst Charles Davis made his weekly stop on the show.
Davis talked about the differences between the top teams in college football, the San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants game this Sunday, the impact losing Brian Cushing to an injury will have on the Houston Texans, the great start to the Atlanta Falcons' season, Tim Tebow's presence on the New York Jets and Mark Sanchez' need to speak up.
