The San Francisco Giants won their second World Series title in three years so Grant started the show by sharing his thoughts on the series. Grant also touched on the mess in Philadelphia with the Eagles franchise and the Oakland Raiders' victory on Sunday.
NBA.com writer Scott Howard-Cooper joined Grant to talk hoops.
Howard-Cooper shared his thoughts on the James Harden trade and which team benefited most from it, the possibility of Seattle getting an NBA team, the situation in Minnesota without Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio for a portion of the season and the retirement of NBA Commissioner David Stern. Howard-Cooper also gave his perspective on the Sacramento Kings' chances of staying in Sacramento and what he expects to see out of the team in 2012-13.
Former defensive end for the Arizona Cardinals Bertrand Berry came on the show to discuss the San Francisco 49ers and Cardinals Monday Night Football game.
Berry talked about the quarterback concerns that the Cardinals have had, the chances the Cardinals have to beat the 49ers on Monday night, the great season Notre Dame has had so far in college football and why they should be in the National Championship game this year.
Kevin Harlan is on the call for the 49ers and the Cardinals game so he joined Grant to preview the game as well as discuss other sports and teams that he covers.
Harlan talked about the Raiders' win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, the downfall of the Chiefs franchise, the importance of Monday night's game for both the 49ers and the Cardinals and the monster NBA trade that took place over the weekend involving James Harden.
Raiders' head coach Dennis Allen made his weekly call-in to the show today.
Coach Allen talked about the importance of his team gaining momentum, the job that Denarius Moore has done for the Raiders, the upcoming game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the lessons he takes from each game and the performance of Carson Palmer this season. Coach Allen also gave an injury update.
Former MLB player Eric Karros, of Fox Sports, came on the show with Grant to recap the World Series.
Karros talked about the dominance of the Giants' pitching this postseason, the effect that Justin Verlander's loss in Game 1 had on the Tigers, the superiority of the Giants' defense in the series, the contribution of nearly every player on the Giants' roster, the masterful coaching by Bruce Bochy, Buster Posey deserving to win the National League MVP Award, the impact the Los Angeles Dodgers' new ownership could have on the NL West standings next year and the antics of Alex Rodriguez in the ALCS.
