The Grant Napear Show - October 17, 2012
Live from Sleep Train Arena ahead of the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors preseason game, Grant began the show by expressing his loss of respect for Lance Armstrong after it was announced that he stepped down as the chairman of the LiveStrong organization and that Nike dropped him as a sponsor. Grant also talked about the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks game tomorrow at Candlestick Park and shared his distaste for the 49ers using two quarterbacks.
Fox NFL color analyst Tim Ryan joined Grant on the show today.
Ryan talked about the 49ers' need to find a balanced attack going into their next game, the need for the 49ers to stick with Alex Smith instead of rotating quarterbacks, the Seahawks' defense, the Philadelphia Eagles' struggles, Michael Vick's job security on the Eagles, the impressive start to Robert Griffin III's career and what he expects out of the Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings game that he's covering this Sunday.
NFL Hall of Famer Warren Moon was a guest on the show this afternoon.
Moon talked about the improvement of the NFC West, Russell Wilson's early rookie success, the impact of short rest on the NFL's Thursday night games, where the Seahawks' defense ranks against the rest of the NFL teams, the Seahawks loud home field atmosphere, the 49ers' use of two quarterbacks, the performance of the Seahawks' coach Pete Carroll over the past few seasons, the amount of success several rookie quarterbacks have had this season and the Seahawks' injury status thus far.
