The Grant Napear Show - October 11, 2013
Today, Grant started the show talking about the Tigers vs. Athletics ALDS game last night and how he doesn't believe that Bartolo Colon is an ace of a staff but that Justin Verlander is.
Later, he talked about last night's Kings preseason game and what he thought about the Kings future and the future potential of the team.
Grant also talked about the NY Giants vs. Chicago Bears Thursday Night Football game last night and what he thinks about the Giants future.
He also touched on the Washington Redskins nickname and the debate about whether or not it should still be the nickname of the team.
Later on, Charles Davis of Fox Sports called in and talked about the Oregon vs. Washington college football game and how fanatical the fans of both teams can be as well as past games between the two teams. They later switched topics to the NFL and talked about the Atlanta Falcons' struggles as well as a few other teams in the NFL.
Later, former trainer and HBO boxing analyst Teddy Atlas called in and talked about the Marquez vs. Bradley fight. Grant mentioned that Marquez has a long layoff and asked if it would have an impact in the fight. Towards the end of the fight Atlas talked about the possibility that Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight may still happen.
Finally, Joe Davidson of the Sacramento Bee called in and talked about the Folsom vs. Oak Ridge game as well as the Franklin vs. Grant game and a handful of other local high school football games. Later they switched gears and talked about the Oakland A's vs. Detroit Tigers game and how well Verlander did. Davidson also talked about how well Jake Browning has done this season and about Shaq Thompson and how he's doing right now.
