The Grant Napear Show - November 8, 2012
The Sacramento Kings got their second win of the season last night at home, so Grant started off the show by recapping the game, discussing Thomas Robinson's two-game suspension for throwing an elbow and sharing Keith Smart's post-game comments.
Speaking of Keith Smart, the Sacramento Kings' head coach joined Grant to talk about the team's first five games of the season.
Smart commented on Thomas Robinson's suspension, the contributions from his bench, the split minutes between Isaiah Thomas and Aaron Brooks, Tyreke Evans' poor offensive start to the season, the game plan at power forward in the two games without Thomas Robinson, the improvement of the Kings' defense and the abandonment of the "we're young" mentality.
Brian Baldinger of NFL Network was on the show to talk football with Grant.
Baldinger talked about the 8-0 start for the Atlanta Falcons, the mediocre season the New England Patriots are having, the surprise success the Indianapolis Colts have had with a rookie quarterback and a new coach, and the performances of several college teams around the nation.
Sacramento Kings' point guard Isaiah Thomas was on the show with Grant to continue the Kings talk.
Thomas talked about the progress of the team so far, his assist-to-turnover ratio, the tough assignment of guarding Tony Parker, his thorough pre-game workout routine and his desire to be great.
