The Grant Napear Show - May 31, 2013
Grant opened The Grant Napear Show with the memories he had while in New Orleans and his conversations with the Maloofs ownerships group. Grant then fielded phone calls from callers who wanted to talk about what the fans thoughts were and how they feel about the Sacramento Kings staying in Sacramento.
Mark Boyle, radio play-by-play voice for the Indiana Pacers, came on the show with Grant and talked about how downtown Indianapolis has been transformed with the use of sports to drive business and renovate that area. Mark also talked with Grant about the Pacers and Miami Heat series and how it has unfolded in comparison to what he thought would happen. Boyle also touched on what the absence of Danny Granger has meant to the Pacers and how they rallied to still be a playoff team.
Former Sacramento Kings Head Coach, Garry St. Jean, joined Grant on the show and talked about the new Kings Head Coach Michael Malone and what Kings fans could expect from him as a leader. St. Jean spoke about what Malone brings to the table from a leadership and knowledge standpoint as an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors and how that may translate to his being a head coach.
Former Kings Head Coach Keith Smart, stopped by the show and talked with Grant about what his plans would have been had he been retained as a head coach and how this has affected him. Keith also shared his memories and sentiments as the head coach of the Kings and reminisced about what he learned and experienced during his time in Sacramento.
