The Grant Napear Show - May 23, 2013
The Grant Napear Show started with a special guest appearance by Carmichael Dave. Grant and Dave talked about the Sacramento Kings Rally in Cesar Chavez Park, all the special guests that will be appearing at the rally, and what the future holds for the Kings.
ABC television analyst, Jon Barry, joined Grant on the show and talked about his time with the Sacramento Kings and what he remembers from his time in Sacramento. Grant also talked to Jon about the NBA Playoffs and what fans can expect from the Conference Finals and the NBA Finals.
San Francisco 49ers radio play-by-play announcer, Ted Robinson, came by the show and talked with Grant about all things 49ers. Ted talked about Superbowl L coming to the Bay Area in 2016, the Michael Crabtree injury, and what moves it might take place to replace the offensive production that Crabtree could have had. Grant and Ted also reminisced about old times in New York sports and related it to the way 49ers fans may feel about Candlestick Park.
Sacramento Kings Majority Owner, Vivek Ranadivè, joined The Grant Napear Show while Grant was in the Long Live The Kings Rally in Sacramento. Vivek spoke with Grant about the welcome the Kings fans have given to him and the rest of the new ownership group. Grant asked Vivek about the fans reactions when he answered phones while people were renewing their season tickets and what he thought about the sense of relief that the fans have shared with him as the new owner of the Kings.
Sacramento Kings Assistant Coach, Bobby Jackson, stopped by and talked with Grant about the team chemistry that the past Kings teams have had and how that can translate to this team. Grant asked Bobby about the camaraderie past teams have shared and what being a part of the Sacramento Kings organization means to him.
Kings minority owner, Mark Mastrov, was on with Grant and talked about how he missed out on the Golden State Warriors a couple years ago and what it is like to lose the bid for the team and how that made him feel in contrast to winning the bid for the Sacramento Kings.
Mark Friedman joined Grant on The Grant Napear Show and talked about how great this win is for the Sacramento Area. Mark spoke about what his late father would have thought of the Kings staying in Sacramento and how much this means to the Friedman family.
Former Sacramento Kings Power Forward, Scot Pollard, talked with Grant about Kings teams from the past and what the Kings can look forward to going forward. Scot talked about the chemistry and what that means to him, even years after not playing for the Kings and how great the people in Sacramento are to him even years later.
