Grant opened the show previewing what he thought would transpire at the NBA Board of Governors meeting in Dallas Wednesday. Grant said he thought the final vote on the relocation of the Sacramento Kings to the city of Seattle would formally be denied. Grant also said common sense says that the bid from the Seattle group led by Chris Hansen and Steve Ballmer would be all but over.
NBA analyst Tim Legler joined Grant to talk some playoff basketball. Legler discussed Stephen Curry and how the Golden State Warriors have been able to fare without a healthy David Lee. Legler also gave his thoughts on New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler's recent comments about the team's one sided offense & lack of ball movement, the Memphis Grizzlies chances to make it to the NBA Finals and the emergence of Indiana's Paul George as one of the NBA's best two way players.
Bryan May from News10 joined Grant to discuss his recent chat with Kings co-owner George Maloof at the NBA Board of Governors meeting in Dallas. May told Grant that contrary to recent media reports Maloof "never said 'they'd never sell to Sacramento.'" May also said Maloof did not know what the agenda would be for the Board of Governors meeting as it relates to a vote on the pending sale and relocation of the Kings.
NHL analyst Barry Melrose joined Grant to break down the wild ending to Game 7 between the Boston Bruins and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Melrose also previewed the Western Conference Semifinal matchup between the Los Angeles Kings and the San Jose Sharks, the importance (or lack thereof) of home ice advantage in the NHL playoffs and who he thought had the best shot to win the Stanley Cup.
Kenny Albert came on with Grant to talk New York Rangers hockey. Albert talked about the Rangers Game 7 win over the Washington Capitals and previewed their upcoming series against the Boston Bruins, their first playoff meeting since 1973. Albert also discussed how he learned of the Bruins comeback win against the Maple Leafs in Game 7, how the NHL has rebounded from the lockout and talked about his busy work schedule this weekend.
