The Grant Napear Show - March 18, 2013
The NBA Board of Governors meeting—and the fate of the Sacramento Kings—is a month away, so Grant made sure to weave in talk about Sacramento's fight to save its team. With March Madness officially underway, Grant also made sure to dedicate some of the show to his thoughts on NCAA Tournament.
Bob Thomason, head coach of the University of the Pacific, is preparing for his fifth NCAA Tourney appearance with UOP, so he came on the show to talk about March Madness with Grant.
Thomason talked about preparing for a team with the stature of the University of Miami, the message he gives his players before taking on a team as talented as Miami, his itinerary going into the coming weekend and what it means to him to be taking his team to the NCAA Tourney in his final season as a head coach.
Scott Reiss of Comcast SportsNet Bay Area joined Grant to discuss NCAA basketball as well as professional sports teams in California.
Reiss discussed the difference between five-seeds and 12-seeds this year in the NCAA Tourney, his expectations of the San Francisco Giants upcoming season, the Los Angeles Dodgers' loaded roster, the upside of the Oakland A's and the playoff expectations of the Golden State Warriors.
