The Grant Napear Show - June 27, 2013
Grant was on location from the Sacramento Kings Draft Party at Sleep Train Arena. He started off the show reminiscing about the last time he was at the arena for the 2012-2013 season finale against the Los Angeles Clippers and discussed the excitement around the franchise now.
Former Kings guard Mike Bibby came on with Grant to take a stroll down memory lane. Bibby talked about his time with the Kings, what life is like after basketball and how we felt about the Sacramento community. Bibby also mentioned the game that haunts him to this day.
Isaiah Thomas, Kings starting point guard, joined Grant briefly to talk about his offseason plans and the Kings first round pick.
Ben McLemore, the seventh pick in the NBA Draft and newest King, joined Grant to talk about his excitement about being drafted. McLemore also talked about his upbringing, what it was like playing for Bill Self at Kansas, his thoughts on coming to Sacramento and his relationship with league MVP and back to back champion LeBron James.
