The Grant Napear Show - June 25, 2013
With only two days left until the 2013 NBA Draft, Grant continued the talk about this year's draft class and asked fans to weigh in on who they'd want the Kings to pick in the first round. Grant also shared some opinions on Tyreke Evans receiving a qualifying offer from the Sacramento Kings, making him a restricted free agent, Yasiel Puig's hot start for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the fantastic Stanley Cup Finals series and how it stacked up against the NBA Finals.
DeMaurice Smith, the head of the NFL Players Association, joined Grant today. Smith talked about AB1309, a bill to close an out-of-state pro athlete payout loophole in California's workers' compensation system, and the most difficult part of being the head of the NFL PA.
Michigan play-by-play broadcaster Matt Shepard came on the show with Grant to discuss draft prospect Trey Burke.
Shepard gave Grant his opinion of Burke's work ethic, skill set and how his game will translate to the NBA.
Matt Park, the voice of Syracuse basketball, spoke with Grant today about draft prospect Michael Carter-Williams.
Park shared his take on Carter-Williams' size, low shooting percentage and handling of adversity.
