The Grant Napear Show - June 11, 2013
Grant started his second day back talking about the Sacramento Kings and the upcoming draft. He also discussed the NBA Finals, the Stanley Cup Final and the U.S Open at Merion this week.
Damon Hack from the Golf Channel joined Grant to talk golf and the upcoming U.S Open. Hack talked about the course conditions and setup, Tiger Woods and his struggles at Memorial as well as Rory McIlroy and his instability with his equipment and play.
New York Yankees Television Announcer Michael Kay chatted with Grant about this year's Yankees team being "a different breed of Yankee baseball." Kay thought this year's team was a better fit for manager Joe Girardi than the team's of the past loaded with high priced star players. Kay also gave his thoughts on Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera and this upcoming series with the Oakland A's at the Coliseum in Oakland.
Steve Wyche from the NFL Network came on with Grant to discuss offseason football. Wyche gave his thoughts on how the San Francisco 49ers will fare without star wide receiver Michael Crabtree and how the Niners stack up against the Seattle Seahawks and the rest of the NFC West. Wyche also talked about the Oakland Raiders and what has been going on with the franchise under owner Mark Davis and general manager Reggie McKenzie.
Eric Hasseltine, radio play by play announcer for the Memphis Grizzlies, joined Grant to give his insights on how and why head coach Lionel Hollins and the Grizzlies parted ways. Hasseltine also gave his thoughts on who might replace Hollins as the Grizzlies new head coach as well as other offseason issues and the Western Conference Finals loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
