Grant was back from his vacation and ready to pick up right where he left off. He kicked off his show by discussing the previous week's Sacramento Kings news, including the hiring of Michael Malone. Grant talked about Sunday night's NBA Finals game and about the importance of winning Game 3, and also previewed the Stanley Cup Finals.
NBA commissioner David Stern joined Grant to discuss the Kings staying in Sacramento and his upcoming retirement. Stern gave credit to Mayor Kevin Johnson and the Sacramento ownership group for keeping the Kings in Sacramento. Stern also discussed the NBA's interest in expanding the market to India, the blueprint Sacramento has built for keeping a team in a small market, the importance of small markets to the league, the impact of grassroots efforts on the Kings staying put, the time limit that was placed on Sacramento to build a new arena, Sacramento's potential to receive an All-Star game if the necessary amenities are built, his greatest achievements as commissioner and what he plans to do after stepping down.
Sam Amick of USA Today Sports was on the show to discuss recent news regarding the Kings and the NBA Finals. Amick talked about reports that NBA analyst Kenny Smith is possibly being interviewed for the Kings GM position, the future of DeMarcus Cousins, the Memphis Grizzlies parting ways with Lionel Hollins, post-game press conferences with Gregg Popovich and what to expect in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
