Grant began the show by talking about the Kings' recent acquisition of guard Aaron Brooks and forward James Johnson, and took calls throughout the show to get fans' perspectives on the recent signings.
Steve Smith, former NBA player and current studio analyst for NBA TV, joined Grant today to talk about several developing stories around the league.
Smith talked about the NBA Summer League and how he analyzes players. Smith said he thought Kings' guard Jimmer Fredette had lost a lot of confidence, and mentioned a couple areas he needed to improve in.
Smith shared his thoughts on the Kings' new signing, Aaron Brooks, and then talked about the 2012 draftees who have impressed him so far in the Summer League.
Smith also spoke on the Jeremy Lin free agency situation, the future of the Atlanta Hawks, free agency in the NBA, Steve Nash signing with the Los Angeles Lakers and his most memorable experiences in arenas around the NBA.
Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports was on the show today to talk about the NBA. Spears spoke on the NBA Summer League players that have stood out to him.
Spears spoke on the Kings' signing of Aaron Brooks and stressed that Brooks is a score first, pass second type of guard, and then spoke on the Kings' fifth draft pick Thomas Robinson and offered his opinion of him.
Spears gave his thoughts on guard Jeremy Lin's signing of an offer sheet with the Houston Rockets and what it could mean to his future. Spears also commented on the Rockets' attempts to sign players this offseason.
Grant's rant was focused on the recent irresponsible actions of a few athletes: Jason Kidd's DWI, Elvis Dumervil's gun charges and Dez Bryant's family violence charges.
