The Grant Napear Show - February 6, 2013
Grant was on location at the Bella Bru in Carmichael today, mixing with fans and talking sports. With the upcoming push to sell out Saturday's "HereWeBuy" Night—the Sacramento Kings game against the Utah Jazz—Grant encouraged listeners to purchase tickets for the game and to look at the big picture regarding the franchise's value to the city. Grant also shared his vision of what this team and a new arena could look like with new owners and a re-commitment to the city, and once again reflected on DeMarcus Cousins' need to get his act together on the basketball court.
Ian Thomsen of Sports Illustrated joined Grant to talk hoops.
Thomsen talked about Pau Gasol's foot injury and what it means to the Los Angeles Lakers short-term success, the Boston Celtics' progress without Rajon Rondo, what he predicts will happen with the Kings' relocation situation, the impact Derrick Rose will have on the Chicago Bulls when he returns to 100 percent and the Miami Heat's chances of repeating as champions.
With today being national signing day for college football recruits, The Sacramento Bee's Joe Davidson took some time out of his day to come on the show and discuss local high school standouts and what universities they plan to commit to.
