With Grant busy traveling in preparation for the Sacramento Kings game in Miami on Tuesday, the one and only Jason Ross filled in for Grant.
The Kings lost another road game on Sunday, so Jason kicked off the show by talking about the Kings lack of unity and the team's need for more players who hate to lose. Jason shared his observations of the Kings three new players - Patrick Patterson, Toney Douglas and Cole Aldrich - and said that their attitudes were very positive and engaging.
Jason also spent some time discussing the fight to keep the Kings in Sacramento, Tom Brady taking a pay cut to give the New England Patriots a chance to improve and sign more players, and the rumors that Alex Smith will be traded fairly soon.
Ryan Lillis of the Sacramento Bee joined Jason to discuss any breaking news regarding the sale of the Kings and Sacramento's fight to keep them.
Lillis discussed the upcoming City Council vote to start negotiations on an arena plan, the amount of money involved in purchasing the Kings and building a new arena, the alterations of the arena plan that may be made under new ownership and what it would mean if the equity investors weren't announced by Friday, March 1.
Oakland Raiders insider Paul Gutierrez of Comcast SportsNet Bay Area came on the show with Jason to talk about what the Raiders plan to do in the offseason.
Gutierrez discussed Carson Palmer, potential trades and draft picks, the team's needs at different positions and Dennis Allen's future as the coach of the Raiders.
