The Grant Napear Show started with Grant talking to callers about the Oakland Athletics, the Oakland Raiders starting quarterback position, and his throwing out the first pitch at the A's game. Plenty of people had tips for Grant and plenty of other callers had a lot to say about the Raiders quarterback situation.
MLB Network's analyst, John Smoltz, joined Grant and the duo talked about the Oakland A's and the Tampa Bay Rays game this evening. John also talked about the Washington Nationals, the Cincinnati Reds, and other contenders who are making a run for a playoff spot heading into the final month of the MLB season.
Fox/NFL Network Analyst, Charles Davis, came on The Grant Napear Show and talked about the Cal/Ohio St. game in California in September. Charles also talked about USC's identity, and Boise St.'s ability to be a serious contender in the college ranks. Grant also asked Charles Davis about the Johnny Manziel suspension and what he has seen across the country in terms of people's reactions to the NCAA decision.
A's radio voice, Ken Korach, gave his point of view on the Oakland A's current success and what has to happen for them to make a run deep into the postseason. Ken talked about who the A's have beaten recently and how they match up with the Tampa Bay Rays and other potential AL Playoff Teams.
Sacramento Bee writer, Joe Davidson, talked about a lot of high school games that are being played tonight and what fans of high school football can expect this year from the local high schools.
