The Grant Napear Show - August 3, 2012
Today on the Grant Napear Show, it was all about NFL football. Grant talked about the upcoming NFL season and took calls about the 49ers, Raiders and Dallas Cowboys. Callers also discussed how they thought the 49ers' season would go following their 13-3 showing last year. Grant interviewed Dave Feldman, Carl Landry and Mike Triplett.
Dave Feldman from CSN Bay Area joined Grant today to talk about the San Francisco 49ers. Dave said that the 49ers' dominant defense, along with Randy Moss and other offensive acquisitions, will help them have another successful season in 2012. Dave also discussed Jim Harbaugh's success at Stanford and how even John Elway's Stanford teams weren't as good as Harbaugh's Stanford teams.
Newly acquired forward for the Golden State Warriors, Carl Landry, was on with Grant to talk about the upcoming NBA season. Carl talked about his recruitment to Golden State and how Bob Myers and Mark Jackson were vital to him going to the Warriors. Carl and Grant also discussed Carl's moves around the NBA, his role with Golden State and how his experience will help the team. Finally, Carl talked about playing for Mark Jackson, his loyalty to the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, as well as the direction of his former team, the New Orleans Hornets.
Mike Triplett of the Times-Picayune in New Orleans was on with Grant to talk about the New Orleans Saints. Mike talked about the loyal fan base in New Orleans and how they have adopted an "us versus Roger Goodell" attitude. Grant asked Mike about how the team has responded to Sean Payton's absence and where the question marks existed on the New Orleans team. Lastly, Mike talked about Jimmy Graham, Marques Colston, the Saints offense, along Drew Brees, the Panthers, the Falcons and the NFC South.
