The NL West division race has heated up and Grant began the show by talking about the pitching duel that took place Monday night between the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers. Grant also spoke on the Wild Card race in both leagues, the recent NFL preseason injuries, NBA guard Chris Paul's thumb surgery and which running back was better between Frank Gore and Darren McFadden.
Ted Robinson, play-by-play voice for the San Francisco 49ers, came on the show to talk about the team with Grant.
Robinson talked about the Olympic scoring, the depth of the 49ers, the 49ers living up to their high expectations, coach Jim Harbaugh's secrecy and Alex Smith opening up offensively.
Brian Baldinger of NFL Network joined Grant to talk football.
Baldinger talked about the Philadelphia Eagles and their defense, Michael Vick, DeSean Jackson, the 49ers' defense and their need to let it fly a little more on offense.
