Solomon Wilcots of NFL Network and CBS Sports joined to preview the New Orleans Saints upcoming season. The Saints have a long road ahead of them without head coach Sean Payton, who has been suspended for the season for his role in the team's "bounty" program. Solomon says the team is in pretty good shape without a coach, considering they have one of the best quarterbacks in the game in Drew Brees.
Grant's Rant today railed the Boston Red Sox, whose players have decided to vocalize the fact that they no longer want to play for manager Bobby Valentine.
Dr. Mark Redor of the 6th Annual Pink Ribbon Classic Golf Tournament checked in to promote the charity tournament. If you'd like information on the tournament, you can call 530-676-9299. The tournament includes a long drive contest, a hole-in-one contest, a closest-to-the-pin contest, among other fun activities.
Steve Sands of the Golf Channel looks back at last weekend's PGA Championship, including the collapse (again) of Tiger Woods after having a share of the lead after two rounds. Sands is also a fan of the Washington Nationals and gave his thoughts on the team's decision to shut down star pitcher Stephen Strasburg for the rest of the season despite being in the middle of a pennant race.
Veteran NFL broadcaster Don Criqui checked in as part of Grant's team-by-team season previews to look ahead at the New England Patriots' 2012 season. Criqui expects Tom Brady to have a huge season to bounce back from a disappointing Super Bowl loss and for the defense, a weak spot last season, to have a strong year thanks to the addition of several new players via the draft and free agency.
