The Grant Napear Show - April 8, 2013
Prior to the start of the show, it was announced that Ron Burkle will no longer be a part of the bid to purchase the Sacramento Kings and build a new arena, so Grant kicked off his four hours by explaining why this happened and how it doesn't affect the success of Sacramento's bid. Also, with Michigan taking on Louisville for the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship later in the evening, Grant discussed what he expects to see out of the game and why he thinks the "Fab Five" should separate themselves from this year's Michigan team.
Ryan Lillis of The Sacramento Bee joined Grant to dish out the latest Kings and downtown arena news.
Lillis discussed Ron Burkle not being able to invest in the Kings and a downtown Sacramento arena any longer, and the bigger role that the Jacob's family will now play as a result. Lillis also shared his take on when the NBA may come to a decision over the sale of the Kings and Vivek Ranadive's primary role in the investor group.
The California Kid, Sacramento's own Urijah Faber, joined Grant live in studio to discuss his next fight and take questions from callers.
Faber talked about his upcoming UFC fight against his friend Scott Jorgensen, his financial ventures, his upcoming golf tournament, his background in mixed martial arts, his training regimen and the amount of weight he can gain and lose in the days around fights.
