The Don Geronimo Show - March 28, 2013
The day begins with Good Day Sacramento's coverage of the people outside of the new Chik Fil-A in Granite Bay who have been camping out for free chicken, and a car chase in L.A. that apparently upset Slow Joe. We then hear about Noodles' email to the staff about his charity walk in a couple weeks, in which he'll be climbing 68 flights of stairs in the tallest building in Sacramento to raise money for the American Heart Association. Don decides to call Noodles to talk to him about it, and Don, being very skeptical that Noodles could pull it off, decides to have Craig race him to the top of the building that day. We also get a caller who claims to be 300 lbs, and says he could beat Noodles by 5 flights!
After hearing about a 15 lb baby being born in the U.K., and Don gives out the phone number of an annoying caller on the air, we hear about a KISS/Hello Kitty cartoon in the works, and the guys start a Rotating Random Phone Scan, but stop short when actor Josh Gad drops by. Josh, who is promoting his new show "1600 Penn," talks about being on the show, as well as playing the part of Steve Wosniak in the new movie "Jobs." After Josh, we get a visit from singer Tony Orlando. Tony, who's in town to perform at the Gallo Center For The Arts in Modesto, talks a bit about Jimmy Buffet, the Tony and Dawn Show, his current tour, and writing "Tie A Yellow Ribbon."
The guys then pick up where they left off on the Phone Scan, before it's time for the "Phantom News." Today, a third FX Channel is coming, Nike's controversial Tiger Woods ad, Aaron Rodgers is close to being the highest paid player in NFL history, and Kourtney Kardashian is a slut. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
